Hi Everyone,

This is sad, poor Dottie has spent so much time caring for and rescuing these beautiful creatures, can't we all step up and make a monthly donation of $10.00 a month?  That's nothing, that's one lunch a month, or two coffees, one glass of wine...  Let's try and help and set up a monthly payment now.  Or do a fundraiser or GoFund Me on Facebook.  Volunteer your time, which is free.
Let's all step up to the plate and try and help.  With this mailing list, if all of us help, in whatever way you can, it would make a big difference.  Let's make it happen!!!!

This is a welcome eye-opening email. I am sorry that it had to come to such message, but life gets in the way sometimes, and it has for me. I am happy to help. I didn't realize there was a dearth. I am not an active in-your-area volunteer, but can help with remote functions. If it is not too late. Dottie is it too late?Can anyone else jump in too, with amounts of time you are available and we can tag team so not one person is overwhelmed? If there is no reversing the rescue closing, can we at the very least hold a fundraiser (facebook auction) to raise funds?

   Since Jan of this year we have placed 75 dogs! An amazing number, especially considering I was in the hospital for a month from a stress related stroke. Since Jan of this year we have had major medical cases (see below) these do not include the everyday spay neuters.   I have begged and pleaded with the membership to support our efforts with a donation of as little as $10 a month on PayPal so that we might have an income we could count on. Out of an email list of over 300 people we have about 12 consistent supporters!!    We have no volunteers and no one is interested in doing a newsletter, running the raffle or putting on any kind of event.    Kristen has done an amazing job finding foster homes for the owner surrenders that have flooded us this year. She has placed many dogs from the TV spot and she maintains the web site and Face Book page. www.GreatPyrRescue.org   Our kennel workers--Jennifer and Amber-have not been paid for 2 weeks. We have 4 males and 3 females who need spay/neuter-no money to pay the vet. Kennel licensing $275 is due July 31, 2015, no money for that either.   We have many fund raising programs available but no action on them. The simplest is the Ralphs card which costs you nothing since you probably buy groceries anyway!!   It is painful to have to turn dogs away after 40 years of an open door policy but I can no longer afford rescue emotionally, physically or financially. We will continue to place the dogs in our care we just can't take anymore.   Many thanks to those faithful Pyr supporters, you know who you are, who have been there for the dogs through all of the tough times.   To anyone wanting to be removed from our list just let us know.   Dottie Sisco
